Richard A Jensen, M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Jensen was born and raised in southern California and relocated to the inland northwest in the summer of 2003. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Point Loma Nazarene University and attended medical school at Loma Linda University Medical Center. His pediatric internship and residencies were completed at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego in 1990. Three years were spent overseas at the Naval Hospital in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where he served as a general pediatrician. Upon return to the mainland, he completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at UCLA in 1996. His military career brought him back to San Diego where he served as a pediatric cardiologist until 2001.

The next few years were spent at the Children’s Hospital in San Diego with primary responsibilities of inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology, perioperative care and all aspects of echocardiography. Dr. Jensen is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and has special interest and expertise in echocardiography and in advanced non invasive imaging modalities. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking, water sports, and spending time with his family in the great northwest.
