Dr. Pamela Garza Burg studied medicine at the University of Texas Medical
Branch at Galveston. She completed her internship at Bowman Gray's School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She went on to complete her pediatric residency at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center in 1994. She then completed her Pediatric Cardiology fellowship also at UCLA in 1997. During her fellowship, while practicing all aspects of pediatric cardiology, she tailored her education with an emphasis on echocardiography.

Dr. Burg is experienced in transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal
echocardiography. She has been board certified by the American Board of
Pediatrics since 1994.  She has been certified by the sub board of Pediatric
Cardiology since the year 2000. Since her graduation from the cardiology
fellowship, she has been active in both outpatient and inpatient practice of
pediatric cardiology, including the care of postoperative pediatric cardiac
patients in the intensive care unit. While she enjoys all aspects of general
pediatric cardiology, she has continued her emphasis on echocardiography. She has established  fetal echocardiographic and consulting services for the Inland Northwest, and works very closely with area perinatologists and obstetric specialists. Dr.Burg is an active instructor of echocardiography with the Spokane Community College Cardiovascular Technician program. She is a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Washington. Dr. Burg is bilingual in English and Spanish.
